Cederberg Wedding Invitation
Coloured Pencil and Watercolour
A5
2024
A commissioned wedding invitation centred around the Cederberg where the wedding venue is, I needed to represent the venue in the invitation and focus on the surrounding fynbos and known rock formations. Another element I had to include was a sugarbird as that had significant meaning for the couple.

I used my drawing ability to achieve a natural hand drawn look to accentuate the feeling of a personal and organic venue.

Fairytale Bakery Scene
Coloured Pencil, Watercolour and Fine-liner
A4
2024
An illustrated scene I took from an extract of an audio book, I focussed on character building and of a group of characters in their environment which in this case were some naughty and curious fairies looking for a sweet snack from a bakery.
I thought about the group being contrasted with the pleasant bakery florals and patterned wallpaper, sort of juxtaposing their textural and organic selves against mundane life.

Blue Wedding Set
Watercolour
A5
2025
A wedding stationary project I made, practising my freehand painting abilities and my creativity. I used one of my favourite colours, blue, which are commonly found on traditional glazed ceramics.
I considered industry trends such as minimal leaves and florals and also a hand drawn and authentic style during this project - also focussing on what a modern bride might be looking for

Mermaid Invitation
Coloured Pencil, Watercolour and Fine-liner
A5
2025
An invitation I created of an underwater theme, I had a weathered and realistic on the sea floor colour palette in mind. I love being inspired by the ocean and all it’s sea creatures so I chose to start from a place of imagining if a mermaid was hosting an event what would her invitation look like if it was hand drawn or painted.

This invitation is meant for a client looking to host a themed party, event or wedding and is versatile enough to fit any of those events.

Intertidal Exploring
Fine-liner and Watercolour
A4
2024
This project came about as an exchange at a wild foraging experience and workshop called Veld and Sea based near Cape Point.
I kept track of all the edible materials we foraged during the workshop and photographed some reference images and made some drawings as a result. It was such a beautiful way to learn something new about the shores near my home and the Great African Kelp Forest and create beautiful memories I'll cherish forever.

Menu Design
Fine-liner and Watercolour
A5
2025

I created a menu design with some seasonal Summer figs in mind. I tried to stick to a simpler look to send focus towards the menu info itself and I used darker lines as black is more universally accepted and utilised commercially.

The Coast Uncovered
Watercolour
A4
2025

A concept design for a book about the shores of Cape Town uncovered season by season. I wanted the style for this book to resemble a field guide or field notes of someone passionate about the ocean. The rest of the initial concept for this book is to outline the seasonal changes of the kelp forest and the sea shores around Cape Town, South Africa; the changing tides and what they bring in terms of seaweeds, shells, animal species and more.

I used purely water colour for this project as the main concept was around ocean life, I wanted it to have a watery and organic feel.
